Nicole Linkletter

Ok so I went on models.com and the top models currently working the circuit are Lilianne, Juliana, Cameron Russel, Lydia Hearst, Remy

I think there's a history of top girls at the agency fleeing to other agencies

here's an excert from models.com

"It's happened before, this surge of ultra-cool high editorial beauties, in those days when Karen Elson, Maggie Rizer and Erin O'Connor ruled the Ford roost. But whatever the circumstances that led these girls and others of their caliber to bolt, the Ford team will have to invest in a bond with these major new breaking faces that makes the girls feel like no other option could be better. They have the money, the wisdom and the power to achieve exactly that. "

but with that said I don't think Nicole will ever worry about getting to big for Ford.. but I really hope they manage her career well and don't just stick her into reality tv guest appearance slots or something and actually try and book her for some shows. Unlike what they did for Naima or Eva.

I have to say Nicole is the most 'credible' winner ANTM has ever had and i think she won't last long with Ford NY.... I'm pretty sure if she does well consistently she'll be changing agencies soon enough. B)

Theres nothing wrong with Ford NYB)

Well, it's better than Pigford. :innocent:

That really was a bad picture on Nicole's part, but whoever did that make-up should be forcibly removed from the industry.

How you guys see any potential in this girl is beyond me. I think this photo says it all:

Models simply don't look that pedestrian in polaroids. There are a milion ways in which she doesn't look like a model.

This is the only photo in which I see the slightest hint of potential:

Too bad it barely looks like her.

Isn't she like 20? If so I hardly see how she would have an age advantage over past winners...

she needs more variation of the face. i dont ever see her doing high fashion, but i think she can move her carreer to doing television hosting or being a personality. she has the likability that eva or yoanna had. needless to say shell do better than naima.

Re: Cycle 5 winner Nicole Linkletter

Tyra Banks announced during the finale party that Linkletter has been chosen by photographer Gilles Bensimon to be shot in Paris for an entire year to do the couture collection photo shoots. Said Tyra, "People don't understand what that is, but in the fashion world, to shoot couture for Elle magazine, with Gilles Bensimon, is huge!". This accomplishment undoubtedly makes Linkletter the most successful woman to emerge from "America's Next Top Model".

:o :(

I guess Tyra's really pushing Nicole to be a credible winner and bring some credibility to ANTM.

Nicole is 19, so was Eva. Naima was 20, Adrianne 21 and Yoanna was 24.

So she's actually shooting for Elle!!.. not just Ellegirl!? Wow thats really amazing!! Hopefully she doesn't get stuck with the ANTM stigma and gets real work...

here's a link to an ET interview.. check out what Tyra says about Nicole in comparison to the other winners :innocent:

http://et.tv.yahoo.com/tv/13306/

"The one thing about Nicole is she has the model 'thing' more than any of our other winners -- the body type, the face type and the attitude," Tyra explains. "She really is a fashion model. She reminds me of the girls I modeled with when I was in Europe when I was 17 years old. Some of the girls were a little shorter, had big bubbly personalities, or certain things were off or different, but Nicole has the model 'thing.'"

How hypocritical for her to say that, when she chose the winners!

Personally, I don't think she has the face or body for a high fashion model... Am I the only one here?

I think she has the body. She'd be a good runway model. Her pictures, however, are far less than stellar. She's not a gifted model IMO.

Here's more pictures of Nicole from the party...

Doesn't that look like Brittany Brower from cycle 4?

OMG IT DOES!.. I think she was probably there then but didn't warrant a mention since time was so tight during the finale

edit: I don't remember posting that picture though

Maybe it wasn't you and I incorrectly attributed it. Oops. This is my second post ever though, so I can blame it on not knowing what I'm doing. haha

While I'm posting, I might as well say what I thought of Nicole. To be honest, it's hard to be objective when you watch the show for awhile, because there are girls you really like for various reasons and ones you really don't like for reasons that have nothing to do with their modelling potential. Nicole is one of the ones who kind of got on my nerves, to the point where I couldn't even think about what she looked like. Nigel hit the nail on the end when he said she came across as whiny and adolescent. I do think they had Nicole picked awhile back though. When she screwed up on her CG commercial - just plain gave up, which was kind of astonishing - something told me it didn't matter because they wanted her anyway. I can't imagine her having a career in anything if that's how she handles things. Someone like Naima though, who isn't really model material, I really loved, so it pains me to say that.

To just look at Nicole, she's not bad, I guess. She does have more potential than any of the others. Eva Pigford is a lot more FHM than fashion model. I still think when Nicole photographs, you can see that whiny adolescent part of her. She looks like a brat, no matter what she's wearing or how she's posing. Maybe in a year or so, after she goes through some more things, she'll get out of that and grow into a much more interesting package. Unfortunately, I don't know if she has that kind of time.

And while I'm here, how do I subscribe to a thread?

I don't want to turn this into a weight debate or anything, because that's not what I'm aiming at, but I just don't think she has the body other high fashion models do... She's not large, and she is thin... just not quite up to par with high fashion, in my opinion, judging from the pictures I've seen...

She was one of the skinniest on the show, but that doesn't translate to the industry. If she got serious work, she would probably be one of the larger models. And don't get me wrong, she is tiny!
