Few models can boast an exclusive booking for a Christian Dior runway show in Paris, especially after only having stepped onto a catwalk for the first time just 18 months prior.
Brisbane-born model Nicole Pollard made her international debut at Raf Simons’s highly anticipated first collection for Dior haute couture in July 2012. Well on her way to join the likes of Australia’s top model exports Abbey Lee and Catherine McNeil, it comes as no surprise that Pollard was quickly snapped up by Dior again for their S/S 2013 showing in Paris.
Nicole Pollard was discovered in her home town of Brisbane at the age of 15.
After moving to Sydney to pursue a career in modelling, Pollard made her first appearance at Sydney Fashion Week in 2011.
Walking for Dior at the haute couture shows in July 2012 is her fondest modelling memory to date. In the November 2012 issue, Pollard told Vogue her Nana’s yellow bird is nicknamed ‘Little Boy Dior’ after her debut for the fashion house.
At the ready-to-wear S/S 2013 shows in Paris, Pollard walked for Dior again alongside fellow Australian model Julia Nobis.
Adding to her impressive portfolio, Pollard was recently named the face of the 2012 Perth Fashion Festival.
