Nina Hagen

Nina Hagen was born in 1955 in East Germany...she left for West Berlin in the mid 70s and formed a punk band in the last 70s.

Personally, I love her work from the 70s to the mid 80s. And the voice

A few years before, I had a chance to see hard cover book of her. Her child(boy) really looks like her. Also, This book contains one pic that looks yaken about 2000 or somelike, in it Nina with Nena K(99 baloon) and Kim Wild. And only Nina still looked same. I think most of her CD are much important than Madonna,

^oh i agree. i think nina's work(AND her ever changing image) is much more prolific and interesting than madge ever did. she was like a living,breathing painting from the german expressionistic period....and i would not be surprised if that period influenced her approach to her work and style. but i digress....of course,the kind of classicism of a genuine artist,helps when it's not totally manufactured. at least nina and her band did their own music and wasn't reliant on suits etc. but yeah,she's great. a very underrated and underappreciated artist,if you ask me.
