Born in Chile, but raised mostly in British Columbia, Canada, Nino moved to New York in 1992 to begin his career in photography where he undertook his apprenticeship while being mentored by Bob Richardson.
His work was first published in British Vogue in 1999, a fashion story featuring long-time friend and collaborator Gisele Bundchen. Commissions for Arena and Arena Homme Plus, Jalouse, The Face, V Magazine, In Style and the New York Times Magazine soon followed.
Nino likes to bring a warmth and vitality to both his celebrity portraiture and his fashion work. He has worked with Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Cristina Ricci, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Mary Louise Parker, Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow and many others.

“I am most at home when I am barefoot shooting on a beach. I am always interested in the different characters that a beach will attract. Whenever I capture that on film, it makes me happy that I have become a photographer.”
