nude skincare founder Bryan Meehan... how it all began In 1998, I co-founded Fresh & Wild in London with Hass Hassan. During that time, I noticed that many of our customers were buying all their organic food from us, but going down the road to Space NK to get their skincare products. When I asked them why, they told me that they didn’t trust that natural & organic beauty products were going to have any effect on getting rid of their wrinkles. These natural ranges were completely overshadowed by other highly effective conventional brands. Whilst the conventional approach relied on a chemical cocktail, it was hard for the ‘natural’ brands to be a credible alternative when their packaging was archaic and the creams were oily with few active ingredients. At best, their effect was neutral.

With nude I’ve combined all the values and principles of my experience in organic food with the careful understanding that skincare, even when it’s this natural, needs active ingredients that will address concerns like premature ageing.

Our entire range is free from parabens, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, propylene glycol, phthalates, GMO, mineral oils and silicones.

Our first priority is to formulate without ingredients which are irritating to the skin or potentially harmful to the body.

We have minimised our use of preservatives by using airless packaging and when necessary use natural or safe, non-irritating, synthetic preservatives.

We choose organic ingredients wherever possible. However, some of the advanced ingredients we use, such as milk peptides, simply aren’t available organically.

nude has not conducted, or commissioned any animal testing on ingredients or products and we actively support the development of alternative ingredient testing methods through sponsorship of the UK charity FRAME.

I'm keen to try the miracle mask...

Does anyone have experience with this brand? I know it's relatively new...

I'm also interested in the brand .. in particular the Advanced Eye Complex
On makeupalley there's 7 reviews all 5 stars with 100% repurchase ..
AND not to mention ... it was the Winner of Best Eye Cream in the Natural Health Beauty Awards April 2010

I have tried the cleansing oil & miracle mask from the brand, and wasn't 100% sold on either. I find the Dermalogica Precleanse far superior to the Nude cleansing oil (which felt quite hard to rinse away for some reason, and didn't cleanse my skin properly) and the miracle mask was sort of ho-hum.

Having said that, one of my friends swears by the cleanser & another friend uses the miracle mask religiously.... So it must be doing something right!

I have the miracle mask and I'm currently wondering if the fact that I've been using it more recently is why my skin has actually stayed mostly clear for more than a week. I haven't been able to keep my skin cleared up for pretty much any period of time for a long while now. I was really getting frustrated. I would have gone to a dermatologist already if I didn't feel silly about going since it's not like I have severe breakouts. It's just that it's constant and it was starting to make me feel really bad and embarrassed about being seen.

I've been using the Advanced Eye Complex for a couple of months now.. and it's ok..nothing earthschattering.. but there is two things about it that annoys me.. it makes my eye makeup slide.. so I have to wear urban decays potion on my eyes to keep it in place :/ and the pump (granted the pump is nice and hygenic and it's the right amount that comes out) but the next time you pump it.. out comes a little but of hardend and (oxidized) darkend eyecreme :P

I sampled the cleansing oil and found it efficient enough. I don't wear any make up at all - not even mascara or concealer or lip gloss - and thus the oil only ever had to cleanse away the dirt and dead cells. At any rate, it is the first oil cleanser I've used, and I like it better than cleansing milks or gels. The other famous oil cleanser is the Shu Uemura cleansing oil, but it's owned by L'Oreal, and I'm bloody certain I'm not going to contribute any more into the pot of a company that espouses animal testing.
