Numéro China #58 April 2016 : Pooja Mor by Txema Yeste

Hhmm, not sure whether I like it, but what an accomplishment for Pooja! Surprised, although I shouldn't be, to see her front a Chinese cover.

This is very basic to me. Like an art student's fashion cover project.

What were they thinking about when they picked that grey color? You can barely see the cover lines.
Anyway, I'm happy for Pooja. An Indian model in an international cover is a major accomplishment :woot:
Next time, I hope it will be for Vogue :crossingfingers:
I like the direction of it, it's nicely done.

I'm pretty sure the grey of the font would be metallic silver in real life. Pooja doesn't stop, and I love it!

I'm happy to see her, but I don't like it that much, it looks amateur.

She really reminds me so much of a young, tomboyish Yasmeen Ghauri.

I wished they had enough sense to style her and photographed her as beautifully as she is— instead of this stupid, mid-90s tribal raver silliness that really should be relegated to the covers of Dazed and i-D. But I guess that’s the demographic they’re aiming for.

And once again, the cover layout is done by someone with absolutely no skills in graphic design. This is one of the reasons why publications are dwindling in sales: Why bother buying a rag when all it does is copy online aesthetics composed by teens with no knowledge of simple composition and basic graphic design principles?
