There have been a few of these hunting-style jackets going dirt cheap on auctions recently, apparently by Number Nine, a label I'm quite interested in. Does anyone recognise which collection it comes from? It's not from the Axl Rose one is it? Or do you think it's a fake?

i'm pretty familiar with number (n)ine and i must say i don't recognize that piece. there was a sweatshirt shown as "view sellers other items" that i recognize from maybe 2 years ago. that said i doubt that the jacket is counterfit. i'm sure it's real although probably quite old.

Thanks, yeah. I doubt it's a fake too. Bought anything from the current number nine line?

i'm not really feeling spring 06 number (n)ine. the show was rad and it was nicely styled but it just isn't so wearable. i kind of want the skull charlie manson shirt though. last season i bought a lot more. i bought the black jeans with the southwest embrodiery on them, the puffy sleaveless blazer and a t shirt.

I agree in general I suppose. However, I bought one of the long, narrow rolled-up scarves, which curls round my neck like a python necklace. It's a rusty colour with silver flecks and I love it.

Sorry about the ebay link. Here's the jacket I was referring to.

it is not fake... i've seen this before... circa 2003-04... if i remember correctly

as a huge n(n) fan.. i'm quite embarassed that i can't remember which collection exactly..

There are lots of Number (N)ine fakes out there, but generally not of more difficult-to-make items (or less quintessentially recognizable items) like jackets and such. Generally, the fakes are of the most famous items... ripped tshirts and sweatshirt hoodies.

So, as others have mentioned, I think you are safe with this one.

John
