Nylon February 2008 : The Kills by Marvin Scott Jarrett

and on another note, I also signed up for the free subscription. i wasn't expecting it to come, but since some of you have received yours I better get a nylon in the mail! :judge:

something just gets me all tingly inside about free magazines. :p

I signed up too - I'm worried so many people subscribed that my subscription might be lost :o

looooove the kills!can someone please scan the article about british beauty about kate moss:)?

I HATE Nylon. Normal I don't even touch it our of fear of getting hipster but I will have to get this one. I just love the kills too much.

I think The Kills are basically the definition of hipsters.

I Cant Wait To Get This =]

I finally got my issue! A bit of a disappointment really as it's everything I dislike about London style (think House of Holland and New Ravers - like I don't see enough of that already!)

I don't recall a Kate Moss article though? There was a small blurb on James Brown hair products though.

I'm still waiting to see if I even get it. But generally speaking, I wish the magazine would go back to being like it use to be. I also miss the type of paper they use to use that was thicker and more textured than the thin shiny paper they use now.

I loved their past London-devoted issue with Ciara Nugent on the cover.. it was lovely, even if slightly irrelevant as this one sounds.. I might get a copy..

i love that I am traveling to london in a month..perfect timing!

I miss the old covers...sometimes I think Nylon is tryin to hard to be like i-D or D&C. Can someone pls scan the Peaches Geldof article?

Peaches...
sorry about the terrible quality. i dont have a scanner

Some of the articles were annoying to read. They gave off the aura of "Omg English style is so amazing! America's style is so lame." Whoever is approving of writing some of these articles ...

On another note I don't get why people hate/complain about Nylon now. It was always a "hipster" magazine to me. Even the very first issue.

I am really disappointed in this issue. London is such a dynamic city and they had so much to work with, but the issue felt one dimensional to me. Some previous issues of Nylon was a bit boring, but this one actually made me annoyed. I don't feel like can relate at all to anything this magazine has to say or feature. I used to love Nylon because I thought it was very "me". This is the first Nylon that I've bought in the last few months and how disappointing.
