Hmm. There is something fishy about the way they pick up a worn-out teen celebrity and write this tribute article about them in every number now. Almost like they have started this new service of selling "cred" to hopeless cases by putting them on the cover and then desperately try to make them seem "alternative" and "real".

It takes more than that to make me totally bash them (I've loved them too many years) but the way they do this just seems...utterly strange.

marvin scott jarett bitched me the f*ck out and called me a "hypocrit" for not liking avril on his cover. he then went on to misspell quite a few other words in his pissy little myspace messages to me, that i might add, were unsolicited. sad, for an editor.

that's terrible, organic. lots of people have voiced their opinions to how upset they are of nylon's choices lately, and the editor being rude to his readers isn't going to help his situation any.

i've yet to pick up this issue, i'm really in no hurry to pick it up with avril on the cover. i do like the pictures, but i wish lou doillon should have been the cover girl. those pictures are beautiful. you can read about avril in so many magazines, it's boring.

it was just so uncalled for! had i written in to the magazine, he never would have responded. i didn't even write him on HIS myspace. i left a stupid one sentence comment on nylon's myspace, and he starts leaving me messages! so ridiculous!
