did anyone else really like those chanel shows that had a tennis net back and a tennis ball at the toe?

i thought they were ugly at first but now i think they're just cool.

but chanel did bad too. what's with those obese heels.

I don't know. They're not that bad. Spindly little stilleto heels are on the way out.

I don't think they're that bad either... i really think you just gotta be careful how you wear it. It's got that 1940s vibe I think

yeah earlier i was thinking they're not bad bad. who ever wore them would just have to be careful.

i was thinking more along the lines of the shoes in the new lv ad. the massive wedge things.

    i dunno.

i think i'll just shut up now.

    You'd better not!
I hate those disgusting humongous heels, too! They are so gross, and make me want to weep.

Those humongous LV wedges are nasty as well, but strippers and prostitutes are going to be going wild! :brows:

PS- Those "tennis" shoes you mentioned... I remember those. Aren't they from the upcoming Spring collection?? I want to see those in person so bad. hahahah

Very chunky and ugly, in my opinion. I hope this trend doesn't catch on... :ninja:

I don't care for them at all...I think they are meant for the runway, although there will be those few brave citizens that will wear them

Stilleto Heels will never go out of style!

    i don't think it's bad, but i personally wouldn't wear it

it's easy to look kinda heavy in them, you'd have to be very careful what you wear with it
and i guess we were due for a counter-stiletto?

First thing's first... stilettos and pointy toe shoes will be here forever! They just maybe go back into exclusivity for the elite I guess, but they will always represent classiness and umph. According to style.com chunky heels are making a come back. I can't say I don't like them, but I just have to find a good and stylish pair. Just like everything else.

I don't care for those Chanel shoes either :ninja:

    chanel chunky two toned heels

    Hello all! : )

I don't think these shoes are ugly! I just bought them, and want to sell them on ebay. My point is, can anyone tell me what year they are from chanel? And also, can anyone post some more runway pics featuring these heels? any help would be appreciated! I did see a lot of these heels on tfs a while ago, but the search engine here didn't find any of the runway pics i am looking for.

    Thanks guys!

here is the shoe i am talking about:

It's hard to find older Chanel pictures, Style.com doesn't carry more than one season out, I think it's cause of Chanel's copyrights.

    It's from the Spring/Summer 2004 collection...

Well, it's all about Marketing, the "let's get it weird" strategy. Of course, optically they are not esthetic, I tried them once and were so uncomfortable (which is bizarre for a Chanel shoe) and they looked torturing, indeed. Not a nice shape for the toe, but this is not the only "faux pas" made by Karl... One of the girls at the boutique even told me that Karl doesn't design the Chanel shoes at all but a young team inside the designer staff.. However, there are no excuses. An anti-Chanel fashionista I met told me even that Karl buys sketches from Fashion Design students... Hello, Karl???? Where are you?
