Off-White S/S 2026 New York

Remeber that show called Next where they presented someone a group of suiters off a bus and if the person didn’t like them even before in depth convo they could yell “Next”? “f*cking NEXT DONT EVEN GET OFF THE BUS”

Made me very sad to see this show.
Also, the staging? How unpleasant for the guests.

I know after their recent sale of the brand, it kind of took the wind out of their sails. But, if we're being honest, OF hasn't had much promise for several years; even when Virgil was still alive it was becoming passé. It's become a caricature of what street wear means. It's very out of touch, pieces are overproduced and it recycles so many concepts without actually identifying house code before it was even fully developed. You can only do so much with graphic prints and color blocking.

But....that's fashion.

Why Ib is still at the helm of this brand?
Again, like Calvin Klein, nothing works. Ib is again in his bubble. The Off White audience is not buying this. HF customers won’t buy this. What’s the point?
Just give the position to someone more culturally connected to this. Virgil Abloh’s ethos were more cultural than designed based.

I only like him being there still so everyone gets several seasons of bad taste in their mouth and finally see that he isn’t the talent he’s been propped up as for years. Remember when he did that shoot with the leaf “outfits” he “designed” and posted the “sketches” that literally looked like a 5 year old drew them and everyone cried what talent!! Total joke with zero substance.

And that's the biggest problem with this collection. It's so confusing, trying to tick too many boxes. Sexy, sporty, streetwear, tailoring with some very misplaced elements of art. Why not expand on Off-White's streetwear ethos, which, strangely enough, is still relevant as fashion now exists in multiple subcultures as opposed to one overarching 'trend'?

What might work for a fashion editorial does NOT work for a collection which is supposed to be more cohesive. What we're seeing here is a stylist trying to keep his investors happy.
