Michael Rider - Designer, Creative Director of Celine

^Couldn’t have said it better!

You could tell from his debut that his eye for proportion is totally absent, for someone who’s worked at Top Fashion Brands©, he struggles to mix and match without things looking like random finds thrown together last minute by some street style influencer ca. 2011.

Stating the obvious but…a suit is the LAST thing in the world that should look cobbled together, be it skinny, oversized or what have you. The shoes are very Phoebe-esque but again, make no sense worn with a suit.

I kind of live for Pedro’s suit for the Emmy’s. I think the issue is that it’s not really a conventional suit to wear to the Emmy’s… perhaps something more fitting to wear going to a formal daytime function in a fashionable European city.

I’m happy the Celine guy is getting more macho!

For pedro it’s not even about Michael rider or Celine. He is working with stylists and everything he wears, wears him. He’s not this fashion girlie they want him to be.

That’s a hard proportion to pull off. It takes the right body and attitude.

Those shoes are not for me but I can understand their appeal. They look like phoebe philo but yall hate Michael so there’s that

Exactly.
The silhouette is actually very Serge Gainsbourg. But more than a body, you need some allure to pull this off.
I don’t know if Pedro has some sense of style or if he likes fashion. He would probably look the best in a soft tailored Italian suit, not in those fashion propositions.
He is a Emporio Armani guy.

If the suit was worn in this style with the looser pants and a darker blazer it would have looked far better , but frankly Levy carries this look much better , if this was worn with two tone loafers or brogues. He looks much better in looser pants , in black here .

I think he looks better than usual which as stated above is a low bar. The big mistake here is those horrible exaggerated shirt cuffs. The silhouette, shoes, and colors are enough as propositions.

The look is actually great when it’s all wrinkled and Pascal’s on the couch, tbh. It feels more authentic, sexier. My issue with all the looks from Dior, TF, and Celine is that they scream celebrity endorsement.

They’re plain, without an ounce of personality — the looks carried the celebrities, not the other way around. Personally, I’d take Lil’ Kim in her full tacky Dior by Galliano over any of this.

This. I am tired of celebrity stylists playing dress-up with their clients. It's always so forced and contrived, calculated to create a moment. Most of them clearly couldn't care less about fashion and would do just fine in a simple suit or dress, but the online mob will start yapping how boring they are, as if every red carpet/photo call was some sort of carnival ball.
