from a classic 80s LP, cupid & psyche '85.
green never really followed up that great LP properly, he had a few sort of halfway records but somehow never came close to matching the song writing & modern funk/electro/r&b/pop mix that made that Lp so great.
the song 'wood beez [pray like aretha franklin]' is great too.
check out the drum programming, its by the system a very cool 80s funk/r&b duo. [you may know their hit 'you are in my system' covered by rbt palmer but their version is better. - i wish we heard the system & scritti more now instead of all the predictable 80s like cyndi lauper & gogos]
and 'perfect way' was a hit in usa, very catchy track.
the entire cupid & psyche lp is worth hearing & if none of what i just wrote makes any sense to you its worth downloading 'wwod beez' or 'absolute' youll see wht scritti/green was a worldwide star for about 2 years.
he also sings on el;vis costello's "i wanna be loved" a somewhat under-rated costello 45. {under-rated cos the lp its on, goodbye cruel world, is pretty bad}.
