I just saw Olga's action-drama movie Kirot. She does a good job and is in pretty much every shot.
I like how she can look vulnerable, discouraged, stressed out, and exhausted in some scenes, and then later in the movie she is beautiful, energized, and courageous (also - skilled with deadly weapons).
The movie although low-budget looks very good (photography, locations, action, and well-placed electronic music) . But it doesn't quite have the attention-grabbing quality that you find in a top-notch action movie. The "bad guys" were overly stereotyped.
The producers apparently were not able to get Kirot a theater release so it's going direct to DVD. It might have the alternate title "Assassin Next Door".
Kirot was made in Israel and the language is mostly Hebrew, with some Russian and English. So subtitles are required for many audiences, which would make it a hard sell to the big theater chains. Too bad they didn't shoot some alternate scenes in English, as a non-subtitled all-English language version might have done well in the UK and North America.
Regardless, Kirot is a decent film, and anyone who likes Olga or action flicks will want to see it.
