aagh!!...
it drives me completely crazy not to know what magazines these are from and who shot them!!!...

...
all i keep thinking is....
WHAT magazine lets you do such creative work???
obviously NOT an american mag....
but WHO???....

*especially that sonic youth story....

Sonic Youth is from V Magazine.
The Psykick Dancehall is from ARENA HOMME + SS 06.
Suburbia is from POP SS 06.
Boys Who Are Girls ... is from V Magazine.

I like him because sometimes he reminds me of stylist Joe McKenna! you can see clearly the influences...

oh thanks, pedro. i was missing the arena homme one. :flower:
which one is the boys who are girls, is it the one photographed by steven klein?

great thread :shock::woot::woot:!!

I love the way he mixes masculine and feminine clothes in such a creative way.. he seems to like to down play the saccarine quality of tutu-like clothes with military pairings and I think it works so well

the combinations just make the wearers look so defiant and cool...
like they can't quite decide whether they are a girly-girl or a tom-boy and they don't care what you think about it because they are going to be both at the same time whether you like it or not!

i guess i just really like how the frills etc, are all being "contained" in some way by more masculine elements... so cool ^_^

the man is fantastic .... from his early work solely with willy vaqnderperre to recent forays he has always tried to imbue everything he touches with a certain artisanal nature and irreverence... always one for some fantastic references as well and a design point of view in his styling
