It’s hard to keep your feet on the ground when you’re this pretty, 16 years old and your job is to dress up in couture, but Ondria Nichole Hardin is possibly the most down-to-earth model we’ve met. While we were wearing magnetic earrings and stalking the sixth form boys on MySpace, Ondria’s dressing up in Prada couture and hanging out with Yumi Lambert and Stella Tennant in a Chanel campaign. When she’d just reached double figures, Ondria won ‘Miss Photogenic’ in a school pageant and four years later walked her first show for Marc Jacobs. She’s homeschooled, her first love is her dog Miu Miu and she comes from oh sweet Carolina. We get our head out of the clouds to talk to the DNA-signed, super grounded, super pretty teen.

What’s the best thing about your job?
No day is ever the same!
Who are your best model friends?
You spend a lot of time alone when you’re a model, so I’d have to say I’m my own best friend.
How do you fit school around your modelling?
I am homeschooled. So that means I can do it wherever and whenever.
Do you like being homeschooled?
Yes, I like being home schooled.
What did you buy with your first paycheck?
An iPod and a Prada backpack.
What’s been you’re career highlight so far?
I don't have a particular highlight, but my first job shooting the Prada campaign with Steven Meisel was an amazing introduction to the fashion world.
What would you be doing if you weren’t modelling?
I would have a normal job.
What do you do for fun?
Research, read 
books, watch movies, cook and play with my dog.
What’s the most rebellious thing you’ve ever done?
I'm not rebellious!
Who would your dream date be?
I’m 16 years old, so I don’t really like dates and I definitely don’t dream about them.
What posters do you have on your bedroom wall?
My childhood bedroom has records on the wall. I love music.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
New York. It has everything in the world and it's my home.
What was the last film that made you laugh?
The Hangover 3.
What slang word/phrase do you use the most?
What’s up?
Who is your idol?
I don’t idolise.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
The best advice I've been given is if you think you can do it then you can!
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I hope to see myself still modelling.
Any last words?
Dream big and don’t be scared.
