Jimmy Choo have just unveiled the campaign for their new capsule cruise 2015 collection entitled, ‘Vices.’ A dazzling series of shots by Mat Collishaw, in which model Ondria Hardin hoists Choo product triumphantly above her head, as though it were some kind of long fought for prize. For Choo’s Creative Director Sandra Choi, the enormous crystal obelisks directly echo the inspiration of this limited edition range. “The idea of Vices came about because I wanted to create a highly covetable collection inspired by precious stones. When I looked into each stone I had a form of synaesthesia associating each stone to the personality and energy of different cities I have visited.’ Translating Choi’s initial mood boards into stills and a short film, Collishaw saw a parallel between the glinting stones, and the man-made geometric high rises of contemporary metropolis’s, thus creating the Emerald City style outcome. For us, images in also speak of one of our own biggest vices- shopping. The moment of finally obtaining that piece of treasure you’ve had your eyes on for what feels like forever, when it finally hits stores. Hoorah!
