More here...

He looks good!! The pictures of him taking pictures of the dog, monkey etc are so cute

I laugh that he gets snapped by the paps in Nepal of all places. Who knew Nepal had paps? I know he's talked about wanting to go to Everest before and it's on the border between Nepal & Tibet but I don't know that he has time to venture out that way if he's working with UNICEF and shooting a new commercial.

Anyway he looks good there and it's nice to see him enjoying himself and doing some good work.

his hair looks so cute at the moment and i love his outfit!
and the faces he makes while taking photos

Awww he looks so cute taking pictures of the birds
i love when men wear dark blue :D

Thank god! I'm not the only person that takes random *** pictures on their vacay.
Love his outfit too. He looks very good in blue.

I have agree with the wtf re: paparazzi in Nepal
He looks gorgeous, love the scruffy hair.

still no upcoming projects on his IMDB page. i'm sure he's still getting offers, but either his $$$ demands are too high, or he's really waiting for the right script. (hopefully the latter).

Apparently he's in Tokyo talking to a director called Johnny To or something about a remake of the French film 'Le Cercle Rouge'.

HONG KONG (AP) - Famed Hong Kong director Johnnie To met with «The Lord of the Rings» star Orlando Bloom recently to discuss a possible collaboration, To's assistant said Thursday.
The assistant, Ding Yuin-shan, said the British actor arrived in Hong Kong Tuesday and left Thursday.
Bloom met with To several times during his stay and the

two discussed shooting a movie together, Ding said, declining to identify any specific projects.
«They hope they can work on a project together,» Ding said.
Hong Kong newspaper Apple Daily Thursday ran a photo of the two together, which the newspaper said was taken when To accompanied Bloom back to his hotel.
Publicists for Bloom didn't immediately respond to an e-mail from The Associated Press seeking the actor's comment on the meetings with To.
To is known for his stylish gangster thrillers. His credits include «Election,» «Election 2,» «Exiled» and «Mad Detective,» which was shortlisted for the top Golden Lion Prize at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year.

Bloom's credits include the «The Lord of the Rings» trilogy and the «Pirates of the Caribbean» trilogy.

Career
An assistant TV director in the Shaw Studios era, To became famous when his 1989 film All About Ah Long, starring Chow Yun-Fat, became one of the biggest box office hits in that year.
In 1996, To and frequent collaborator Wai Ka-Fai formed Milkyway Image, a production house that specializes in cost-efficient independent films made by To and Wai, as well their frequent collaborators from Law Wing Cheong to scriptwriter Yau Nai-Hoi.
Film Themes
Although he has directed extremely popular comedies and rom-coms like Justice, My Foot, Needing You... and Love on a Diet, his more serious works are mostly about masculinity and male bonding (The Mission, and Running Out of Time), or simply about guns (again, The Mission). Another theme is fate and the concept that our lives may not be under our control (PTU, Expect the Unexpected and Running on Karma).

FESTIVALS AND AWARDS.
To's films have played around the international festival circuit. Throw Down was screened Out-of-Competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2004, and Exiled was shown in Competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2006. Four of his movies were featured in the Cannes Film Festival: Breaking News in the Out-of-Competition midnight screening in 2004, and Election in Competition in 2005 and his most recent Triangle. Election 2 (aka Triad Election) was screened in Out-of-Competition midnight screening at Cannes Film Festival in 2006.
In North America, To's films have been consistently screened at the Toronto Film Festival. The Mission, Fulltime Killer, PTU, Breaking News, Throw Down and Mad Detective all screened between 1999 and 2007. In 2006, Election, Election 2 (aka Triad Election) , and Exiled were screened.
In 2005, To received the Time Machine Career Achievement Award at theFestival de Cine de Sitges, Europe's most prestigious film festival specializing in genre films.
In 2007, Election 2 and Exiled were released in the US theatrically. To was also honoured as a "Filmmaker in Focus" of 2007 Rotterdam Film Festival.

I hope that he's going to do this movie^_^

I'd love to see him in a new movie. I get anxious when the celebs I like don't have new stuff coming out. Makes me wonder if I'll be stuck watching crappy actors/actresses all over the media forever. Oh well... he's definitely earned some vacation time.

It's a fools hope but I'm so hoping Peter Jackson will find a part for him in The Hobbit!!

Some exclusive pictures from when he went to Nepal, more to come apparently!

He really needs to find a movie to do, his situation is getting very embarrassing. He looks cute in those pics though.

I don't think there is anything embarrassing about taking your time to chose a part. He has been working. Commercial in Japan, voicing a documentary, the summer play and now doing work for UNICEF. I'd rather him do that than join any crappy movie offered him. It shows he puts thought into what he's doing. I say, good for you Bloomie. Take your time and choose wisely. Plus, the writer's strike is having an effect on all of Hollywood these days. Even the film he's in talks with Johnny To will be delayed because of it.

The first picture is beautiful. I love silhouette pictures and the scenery is amazing.

I'd love for him to make a little appearance in The Hobbit (Legolas's father is a big character in it) but sadly I doubt he'd want to do it even if it was offered to him.

Have to agree with Kbob on this one. Give him a break he's been going almost non-stop since LOTR and that was straight out of school. Even now that he's "taking a break" he's still doing all this charity work with global green, the trip to antartica, documentary and all the other crap mentioned.

I would love to see him in a new movie too, but I also don't want him doing just any cheesy script that came along.
