The awards show was obviously late in the evening, just after his play finished for the night and he usually has Sidi with him in the theatre so he took Sidi with him. If he'd left home to go to the awards show and taken Sidi with him then yes I'd be rolling me eyes at him. I wonder if he doesn't like leaving Sidi at home because he is worried about him tearing up his place.
