"She's the contemporary woman of today," hairstylist Orlando Pita said, working on behalf of Phyto and T3. "The hair's a little waved and works both for day and evening." Hair was blown out with Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse and curled with T3's SinglePass Twirl iron. The loose ringlets turned into sexy, bouncy waves courtesy of Pita and team. They brushed them out and did some back-brushing for extra fluff.

Little girls playing dress-up in Mom’s closet provided the inspiration for the hair and makeup at Oscar de la Renta’s Tuesday evening show.

“She loves ribbons, headbands and volume,” said Pita, who created Sixties-style bouffants. Pita backcombed the hair — “most of it is full of product from other shows today, so I really don’t need to add anything,” he said — to create lots of volume, and then pinned hair under at chin length to make it look short. Next, he added a jeweled accessory to each girl’s hair — some got jewel-encrusted headbands, others ribbons with brooches pinned to them — at the crown of the head.
