Finally- the PRADA website is running.... well atleast the parfum one is. Still waiting for the main site to open.

what do you guys think about this movie and site?

I think it's a little vain of Miuccia to do a movie and all this for a fragrance.

-All of the clothing in the movie and commercial are from past PRADA collections. The film was finnished a year ago and was shot in Berlin, Germany. The film also premired there at the Berlin Film Festival.

Does anyone know if that was Milla Jovovich in the dance scene where Daria was wearing that lip print dress?? I thought it looked kinda like her... I wonder if that was Kirsten Dunst also in the dancing hall scene.

Try following these directions and see if it works...

1. Copy this URL: http://prada.wm.vod.edgestreams.net/VTS_02_650x360_MP.wmv

2. Open Windows Media Player.

3. On top of the media player go to file and click on "Open URL..." (or you can just press Ctrl+U)

4. A new window will appear after you finnish step 3. Erase any text that appears in this box. With your mouse right click and go to "paste".

5. The same text that is in step 1 above should be seen the "Open URL" window. Press Enter.

6. Voila, the movie should play and start to buffer.

The advertisement is great, and Daria works well in there. Her speaking voice is good, i want to see it in a short tv commercial with a shortened version of this. Shes great, i can see her becoming a "good" actresss in the future.

The best short-movie I have seen in ages. The direction, the music, the light, the clothes, the locations, Daria (!)... a triumph, really. So bad the commercial is a butchery.
Anyway, I had never understood (up to now) all the fuss with Daria. I always though (and still think) that she is very plain in pictures. However, she sparkles and amazes in front of a video camera and her voice is mesmerising. I definitely agree with those who suggest an acting career: her full potential is as an actress.

That short movie was truly great. I am sooo impressed. And the same thing was going through my mind about Daria becoming an actress, i think she really should pursue that career path. I didn't even think it was her reading and i was all the more impressed when i realized that it WAS her. WOW. it was all around great.

the hi-def (wmv and quicktime) will be hard to save, because they're streaming files (it can be done, but you need special software).

alternatively, i took a look around, found the movie file in Temporary Internet Folder for IE... unfortunately, this file does not play by itself . but then i re-embedded it using Flash MX, and now the output is a flash movie that can be played on any pc and can be saved to the hard drive . here it is:

this will take you to the RapidShare servers... just choose the Free option, wait 30-40 (whatever it says), and you'll be able to grab it (see the bottom of the page).

please note, this is the 4+min full-length version that was taken directly off the prada site. the file size is about 44mb. also, the file will be deleted after 30 days if no one downloads, so grab it while you can.
