Pairing Shoes with Clothes Help Thread

i saw something like this on talk sex, the show on oxygen with the grandma who answers sex questions. oh man soooo good.

Its pretty rock star - Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Bolan, Roxy Music - I reckon you can get away with it.

Looks good, although I'd also prefer a rounder toe boot.. but thats just me :)
Here are a pair from Tommy Hillfiger that I really like...

Have a good one, and enjoy yourself :)

If I could see the whole outfit I could give you a definate answer but from what I see I don't mind it at all!

hmmm...I don't know.. if a guy was wanting to go pointy, i'd suggest a cowboy boot style. It's a little more masculine looking, but at the same time, he'd get the pointy toe look which he wants, without it being too pointy. Well, that's just MHO! Do whatever makes U happy and comfortable! (Actually, if u wanna be comfortable, I wouldn't recommend pointy toe shoes, lol!)

i'd do it with beatles/mod boots, stilettos are way to femme, unless of course thats what one is going for..

i think the original boots posted look quite good...i think the rounder toed hilfigers look way suburban...not a look i like...

I'd just like to thank all you gals/guys for taking your time to give your honest and open minded feedback--and that goes for both good and bad opinions of my look as well. This actually is a look I had been experimenting with for nights out on the town and it really doesn't seem to be hurting anyone or drawing much attention. It's fun so I'll probably stick with it for awhile.

I like it. I think it works because it doesn't seem absurdly out of proportion somehow...if that makes sense. The dark look works, too. It seems, as someone said, very rock star somehow.

Dont dig it, why not try a cowboy boot or something like that? Plus, arent you REALLY uncomfortable in those?

round toe has been around so long its boring. jeans look great with pointy toe shoes.

Love it. Love pointy toes like that. Go for it!

I too am a guy who wears shoes with a heel, i like the look. This is how I wear mine (with long jeans etc) but I got torn apart on my post about shoes I just bought (just bought these shoes), I have always worn chunky heed type shoes and always thought that wearing shoes like in example you gave would cause major ridicule. So Im not sure why I got ripped apart in my post, perhaps I should post a picture also.

also it was actually a girlfriend suggested that I should wear a heel due to the fact that I find flat shoes get quite sore after a while and due to the price of mens shoes with a slight heel really expensive... but women's shoes are cheaper and with more variety.

Quite nice, nycfashion! I wear heels, too, although more for a bad ankle than anything else. But since I have to, I make the effort to ensure they're fashionable and tasteful with respect to the rest of my ensemble.

I live in Vegas, and get pretty much the same response as you do - very little, and what little I get, mostly positive.

As someone said, "perhaps I should have posted a picture." The words "guy in heels" conjures up all kinds of things, but when it comes down to the actual look, it's a non-issue.

If any lurkers out there are thinking about it, go for it - you'll be amazed at how you'll blend in more wearing heels than if you were wearing a stylish hat.

Actually they are really comfortable. I just bought one size larger than what I normally take, and since I have a small foot for a man, that was easy to do.
