Paolo Roversi - Photographer

his work is always so instantly recognizable to me.. which I love
but the thing about it is, that unlike peter lindburg whose work is recognizable from the black and white desert, sand etc setting... it is the feeling more than anything that makes roversi's work apparent..
so romantic, and poetic as softie wrote... but also different in the places, settings and clothing
the mood is what remains so recognizable...

sorry for the rambling... i guess it was a bit of stream of consciousness :p

Just perfect. One of the best. I could be wrong but am I right in thinking there is a book of his nudes? I love the Kate Moss one but a book would be amazing.

I think what I like best are his colours. He really takes the brash out of a lot of real life colours -even in a colourful shoot like the Lily one above.

I have a book, some photography book, that Roversi gave to my father's friend when they were photography students, I don't really know the whole story. He's signed it but its like a personal note rather than a very clear signature, do you think I ought to try and sell it? Or would I not make any money anyway

I think you should keep it!

I agree! Seems like something that would definitely have more sentimental value than monetary value...
and like something that is personal and you should keep it anyway...

What happened to him? Those are so ugly!
They are the worst photos by him I've ever seen

It´s US Vogue, I guess boring is obligatory for them nowadays.

Keep it! :flower: The book sounds amazing, something that has more value than money itself.

someone remind me what the oelsen twins did to have the privelage of shooting with roversi?

let's see...

they began to work at an obscenely young age - check
