does anybody have pictures from shows where the girls have their hair brushed back, all partless? i really like it, and if i can't get my mane to stay like that i will use a headband in it... yeah.

It's a very classic look. And thought you weren't referring to hair being up at the same time, I do that a lot... it helps if you have longer bangs that you can pin up to create a bit of a poof on top... the look is very flattering for me, being that I have somewhat of a round face and a larger forehead.

Beautiful

How would you get this look without the help of a stylist? I'm guessing blowdry with the biggest round brush you can get your hands on to start, but it must be v hard to do the top of your head because it seems like you'd be pulling your hair back from the forehead...horizontal to the floor if you get me. Your arms would be killing you! Then big velcro roller and tons of hairspray?

try pulling all your hair into a really high ponytail, right at the front of the head and leave it for as long as possible. when you shake it out, it will fall without a part, and will also have tons of volume. hope this helps!

I do this ... I curl my hair on a round brush, a fairly small one actually (I had to downsize when I got my hair cut in order for the brush to work in the back--sorry, no two brushes for one head of hair, I'm in a hurry in the mornings), and yeah, hairspray is then the key. Not tons necessarily, just the right one (like Sebastian Shaper Plus).

Blow dry your hair back (as you mentioned) and then rat that sh*t out (ya know, where you lift up your hair in sections and comb it down so it gets ratty and knotty... hope that makes sense... it will give you TONS of volume), then gently comb it back in the direction you want and hair spray the heck out of it.

this is how i wear my hair right now because i have highlights. i wash, comb with wide toothed comb and just let it air dry with no product. it works for me, if you dont over condition your hair, especially your scalp..i think it can work but it really depends on hair type. mine is pretty silky so it always wants to fall into a part but i just push it back with my hands when that happens then after a while it just goes that way.

my hair usually looks like this
either neat & pushed back if it just set that way when it was drying

or more haphazard

i love this look.....angelina jolie's hair is gorgeous like this........my hair just WONT do it....even with hairspray (i agree sebastian is the best) and a good blowdry......my part is so persistent

i constantly try to wear it without a part....but i have yet to succeed

I think the hardest part is making it stay, without using so much products that your hair looks like sticky plastic. I like this look when it's sleeker... I don't like angelina's do because the puffiness makes her head look huge.

It looks amazing on models and actresses. So full of class and grace and sexy, but when I do it--it doesn't work.
