I do this look qite often. I have fine, straight, flat hair and find that a very gentle, ever so slight teasing of the roots and crown help it stay in place. I also use Frederik Fekkai hair spray keeps it in place.

having fine straight hair must help.....mine is curly and not fine....

i love this hair look... i dont like to part my hair (at least in the middle so i always part it to the right side...)..
