Peta is sending out this hilarious/embarassing holiday card to all Vogue staffers. Earlier this week they plastered her face inside various urinals around the city. Do you think she'll ever try to negotiate with them?

Oh how I hate those freakin' PETA pshycos.

I'd much rather give my money to the ASPCA.

As much as I don't like PETA, that was kind of funny. (Extremly rude though.)

PETA is full of hypocrites...they spend all their time/money attacking celebrities, instead of going out and actually helping animals.

PETA is just so USELESS, it's sick!

I'd much rather give my money to the ASPCA.

Exactly. PETA just give all it's manpower and money to the ASPCA; then PETA would finally be doing something good:innocent:

to be honest, i dont really think most people would realise, or know for that matter who anna wintour is, and you certainly dont see how its saving animals...

Why did I click that link? I don't either, maybe we should put them in a cage with a lion and cover them all in barbeque sauce? Oh the irony...

has PETA ever done anything productive and positive for the welfare of animals?

They're rediculous....how immature is that?

It makes me think of catty high-school girls writing gossip about each other on the bathroom walls.

To this day though, I still don't understand why they target Anna and make it their mission to bring her down.

Um, negotiate to what? What kind of agreement could Anna and PETA possibly come to? Those are 2 parties that will probably never agree, so what is the point?

PETA can do something positive by educating younger folk, not really someone like Anna who is old and set in her ways. But PETA is like a whiny 3 year old that doesn't like someone playing with its toys.

As much as i don't like fur and i support any team against it i don't even see how this campaign has anything to do with it. Yes the woman in the picture is wearing a fur coat, but thats about it. If i had seen that picture in the street i'd have just thought oh right okay and carried on walking lol.

Er... the fact that we are talking about PETA on a fashion forum sort of implies that what they do works no? Their job is to make people aware of what goes on in the fashion industry in respect to the mal treatment of animals.
How can people say they are pointless and don t achieve anything when they have campaigned so strongly for such a long time against fur! Their shock tactics grad headlines and get people and the press talking, thats what their aim is and it looks like they re pretty successful at doing it too.
Don t mean to be rude to anyone but it just feels like many of you are missing the point.

^ But all those headlines haven't helped their cause, have they? People still wear fur, and taking shots at Anna Wintour, or grabbing a headline for some rediculous publicity stunt isn't changing the fact that some people like fur and some don't. So really, they're akin to Paris Hilton, who uses shock value and cheap thrills to make headlines...just for different reasons. They may have been campaigning against fur for a long time, but has anything changed because they sent out these rediculous cards or harass AW?

For once it would be great if they did something positive.

Agreed Spike.

They are pointless. So should we all just become vigilantes? I can just see it now, "Hey you there! Girl with your thong hanging out of your booty shorts, take that off now!", I say as I punch them in the face.

It's not cool. You may not like what people do, but it's their choice to do it.

And yes, people are talking about them, but most people label them as "crazed radicals". There really isn't a point, whether we are talking about them or not, of what they are doing, if no one takes them seriously.
