Lorenzo Serafini used his Eighties childhood memories of summers by the Italian seaside and the New Romantic music scene to guide his Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini resort lineup. The result was two part: a wardrobe of angelic beachy dresses — baby dolls, smocked bohemian styles and cotton maxis — in white broderie anglais and liberty prints, and a more graphic ode to the Duran Duran era with outfits that clashed baroque florals with black-and-white stripes.
The clothes represented two different attitudes for the same girl. The breezy summer dresses will likely get more mileage than the rock stuff, which come off as a bit spontaneous.
