Why has there been no thread created for this band?

Later on this week I'm going to try listen to their album "Dark Side of the Moon" and watch The Wizard of Oz at the same time.... Supposedly if you start the film as well as the album at the same time...they go along together:shock:

But Pink Floyd has denied the connections...so who knows..but Im going to try it :)

i love dark side of the moon! who doesn't? who couldn't? brain damage and eclipse are just... epic.

^that Wizard of Oz thing.. how'd it work out?

The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and the very first one with Syd, are probably my favourite albums. I also think Barrett's 'Barrett' is totaly worth listening. Baby Lemonade, Love song and Dominos are my favourite tracks.
And young David Gilmour was... beautiful...

There were some eerie parts where it did fit... but for the most part I don't think it was the real deal.
I sometimes watch t.v and listen to my ipod at the same time.... and it looks like the people in the commercial are dancing to the beat of the song i'm listening to... but it's just pure coincidence!

Why just about the most AWESOME original band in the world!!!!!
I've done that[listening while watching]and it was fabulous!!!!
Their music is sooo fun, eerie, dreamy, even future revealing-really all albums, including Sid's own work.....LOVE IT!

I love finding threads about bands I like here!
I recently purchased a dvd called Pink Floyd live at pompeii.
Its spectacular!
Have you girls seen it?

Yes,I've seen it and loved it.As far as creativity ,no other band compares, plus their music always has spoken for them, while their private lives and image remains a mystery.THANK GOD for this band, noone like them.

It is (was?) my fav. band, but since I've started to listen more prog rock bands like Genesis, Yes, ELP. Jethro Tull and mostly King Crimson I realised that Pink Floyd was poor, even in their golden age.

Money & Wish You Were Here are definitely the best ones^_^

I'm addicted. My favourite band.
I thought would have more posts :(

Love Pink Floyd so much!
Their songs are so special, "wish you were here" is one of my favourites.

I would have KILLED to be at the Roger Waters concert last Thursday when Gilmour appeared and played Comfortably Numb. Holy f***. I just want to see Pink Floyd play live before I die, that is my only wish. And I don't even like The Wall.

I saw Waters on Roskilde Festival 2006, he played the entire Dark Side Of The Moon album, it was so magical.

And can I just say that Gilmour was really hot 35 years ago :brows:

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Dark Side of The Moon are the best. Imo, Pink Floyd is the only band in the world that plays better live than recorded.

the main wall in my room is painted with the cover of DSoTM, i'll try to take pictures when my camera arrive.

my dad introduced me to pink floyd, i remember listening to it with him when I was only 5! :P
thank you dad, for introducing me to good music.
