For me personally, top toot would have to be Margot Robbie. I went from underwhelmed to completely obsessed with the effortless glamour she exuded. It's an understated outfit that doesn't scream at you, but simply radiates elegance and beauty and I love her for it. I'm tired of the showgirls. Give me beauty!
I give extra points to everyone who wore archival designs, mostly Chanel. There's a lot of interpretations or direct remakes by other designers, but nothing hits like the true archival pieces! Two other outfits that stood out to me as the top toots of the night are definitely Nicole Kidman and Penélope Cruz. Both of them looked spectacular but while I didn't neccessarily enjoy Nicole's hair choice, Penélope looked immaculate top to bottom! What a stunning look, I was blown away by her beauty.
Olivia Rodrigo also looked absolutely adorable in her Thom Browne number and the Hepburn-esque beauty styling, so lovely! And I have to say that Dua Lipa looked drop dead gorgeous in that Claudia Schiffer gown! Anne Hathaway looked really good, the Versace/Chanel hybrid look was fun. Honorable mentions for Jenna Ortega, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried's hair.
As for our fashion models, I really loved Gisele's reprise of that iconic look. Irina Shayk's dress looked fantastic but I don't understand her choice of footwear. Anok Yai looked surreal, Gigi was very pretty, but they had nothing to do with Karl. I think Devon, Naomi, Kate, Carolyn and Karen looked really good!
The boys... Pedro and his sl*tty knee, obviously. The look not so much, it's him that gets the toot. He looked really good in it. Conan Gray looked good and as much as it pains me to admit, Bad Bunny did as well.
Now... let's boot.
My most hated look of the night was the goddamn chunky platform shoe. Specifically, the Marc Jacobs chunky platform shoe. Enough, for the love of god! The Versace one, too (my top toot, Anna Hathaway, is shaking). We've seen enough of it, it had its moment, let's just please move on to another shoe.
Lil Nas, the showgirl. Annoying as hell. Unsightly. We've seen the diamond encrusted look before, it's old and it's tired and there's nothing new to bring. I hated it.
Jared Leto, the showgirl. Ugly. Please retire, god! (although I laughed out loud when I saw a clip of people screaming ''Gaga'' when he showed up in the cat costume, he gets half a point for that)
Kim Petras looked terrible. Christina Ricci's dress looked borrowed, terrible fit. Mary J. also had a terrible outfit. And Elle Fanning looked messy.
Overall, there were a lot of nice looks, but not a lot of great ones.
