Anyone heard about this ?
Power Plate and its Vibration Technology is said to be one of the most unique fitness and rehabilitation devices on the market today.I'm doing it twice a week , but wanted to know if someone has experimented it already!?
:D Thanks!

i think i have this thing at my gym.. not sure though. it looks suspicious so i'm going to stick with my elliptical and treadmill. i'm oldschool, you need to sweat to actually burn something, and this vibra thing.. not sold

I agree with you sienna and adi ..I'm more old school too...though I'd like to try it, does anyone have experienced this thing?? does it really work??

Apparently 10 mins of it is the equivalent of a 90 min workout... Im not too sure though...

it really does work i always go on it before the weekends, and my legs always get super slim, I would like to buy one to have in my home!

I have to disagree about the "no pain no gain" part. THIS THING HURTS! I tried it couple of times and the vibration is intense, when you get off, your legs feel like rubber. It's a funny feeling. Not sure how effective it is in the long run.

Yes.. your legs feel like you can't walk on them, it's like having a really good work our!

I honestly love this thing, I need it in my house! I'm not one for muscular thighs so the power plate is perfect for me!

the power plate fad is just so misleading. german tv programme MDR investigated if the pp really worked (well, it better, regarding the ridiculously high price of 8.000 euros for the at home pp). they found it was great for rehab patients after accidents with broken bones involved, but it did no wonders for those who wanted to achieve that toned, svelte look. the less exoensive vibraplate didn't score too well neither. im happy i didn't shell out any money for the twice a week 10-minute-powerplate regime at my gym. it's expensive.

They're always coming up with these new gimmicks. There should be some form of regulation. I'm oldschool too when it comes to exercise/fitness.
I hate that my gym has the pp and that people have to pay extra to use it.

The other waste of money that i always hate to see being advertised are those ab toners--- some ab strap around your mid section and you just sit there while it shakes?! ugh

exactly! these ads are always on the back titel of the TV magazine. that's where the ads for the *incredible invisible high heels for men, appear 10 inches taller in a single second* can be found, too. :innocent:
