Prada F/W 2025.26 Milan

No more Milanese sharp cuts at Prada: instead, formless volumes slightly cinged by a bow or two big buttons.
No more arty quirkiness: instead, nervous looks made of whatever you found among the clean garments you had, because most of them were dirty.

Everything here evokes poverty, the hair, the expressions of the models, and sadly also the clothes.
In a way, the opposite show to Fendi.

Love it even if not perfect but nothing is these days, it refreshes the ideas of what prada was or is some weak looks but fine.
i love the bluntness of the jeans and fur etc and felt more free and young yet a woman could wear it without the crazy styling.

IG friendly clothes for sure much like JWA at Loewe , which is smart move to stay relevant you have to get dirty and pop.

rather have this than fendi and many others shows both intellectually and visually its superior .

Its amazing at her age of 75 year she is still able to be fresh and not stand still and say yes to all of this while CD half her age still cant make something as half compelling or fresh.

Respect !!!

I find this very good. It feels modern, and there is something very confident and authoritative in many of the looks. I would leave out the fur collars and scale back on the use of leather, but there are some great coats and excellent knits. It has that element of the kooky bourgeoisie from the late 60s, like someone that replaces the buttons on her old creased coat with some cheap brooches she picked up in a vintage store. It's very charming.

Loved it. A very niche reference, but the collection reminded me of Elaine May in 1971's "A New Leaf"

This is exactly what I expected. Nothing more, nothing less. The spring collection was so much better.

Those lobbed-off peeptoe Mocs & Boots are rather delicious, I must say. The literal BellyButton does make me giggle. I’m also rather partial to the gaggle of black dresses towards the end. The Missfits.

Oh, I started from a position of mild weariness and indifference and I’m now rather into this. Very Prada.

I feel like anyone whos still into prada are just those people who likes to name drop brands but dont really know the current situation of that brand.

Prada has faded into "first luxury perfume" category.

Is this the next iteration of what they called "man repeller" ?

Vogue's title is amusing: "At Prada, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons Interrogate the Beauty Myth." To be sure, beauty seems like a long-lost fiction in the presence of this collection.

The awful little dangly charms on some sweaters reminds me of some of the most nauseating un-Jil pieces from the Meiers' abysmal Jil Sander tenure. (I realize they are echoing/multiplying a concept from the last menswear show.)

I can accept that this is fashion more easily than I can accept that it is real clothing. Let's not even mention the price point.

a big prada stan in me thinks that this show is an excellent mirroring, a fantastic metaphor of what’s happening in the world right now. Dark and mental. No doubt though that this will sell well, merchandisers won’t have a lot to work with here frankly speaking. You have to give it to them though.. zero f**ks were given about our expectations. Kudos! My credit card is f**king ready for prada again ayyyyyyyyy
