Prada F/W 2025.26 Milan

exactly, I agree with you on this one! people are shocked by an old fashioned vision of as if cool, edgy woman. yeah, it's only "shocking, cool or edgy" for the rich ladies from Milan. To the rest of the world, it's nothing special at all. its a diluted version of so many amazing designers this is a rip off from.. starting with Martin Margiela... and onwards... Sad

I can't help but enjoy the majority of this collection. I'm a sucker for a disheveled/John Waters take on a 1960s housewife. From Fall 2023 to now, Raf and Miuccia are building a specific universe for this brand, the collections feel more cohesive with one another compared, which was one of the critiques I remember Prada collections got before (the new themes every new seasons starts off as a strength but somehow works against brands in the long run). Now is it missing some of that magic? Of course but imo it could be worse. This might get me some hate but I'll still take this era over the identity crisis era of Prada from 2015-2020.

I just wish Prada wasn't such an ambassador/influencer-sponsoring brand now. And that it wasn't so expensive for the quality you get.
Oh no, 2015-2020 prada was contemporary and sublime. To be fair, Prada collections are best a few years after its debut.

I actually really like this collection. I am thrilled they aren't putting logos and triangles on every single garment. I loved the ugly horribly fitting knit dresses, the seamed shoes, the big/loose/cinched skirts. I hated the futuristic alien glasses, hemorrhoid furs, cheap looking knitted halter tops, and the misplaced leather jackets with matching leather ties (completely disjointed in this collection). Honestly, if they just took away metal scaffolding, that would've made the presentation so much better too.
