Prada S/S 2018 by Willy Vanderperre

This looks nice! Can't wait to see more.

Kris is really the ultimate Prada girl.

Does the shot of Kris remind anyone else of the Fall 2013 campaign? I'll wait until I see it more clearly but I'm getting déjà vu, mixed in with one of Vanderperre's usual sterile portrait shots.

It supposed that Prada changed the photographer to look more versatile? I really love Willy's work (he's a fave), but I'm seeing similarities with the past seasons. I'm mad with the brand, not with the photographer, stylist and the rest.

I really love the collection and i think that this year, Prada has the chance to be hot again but this is so boring.
For me this is as boring as the Chanel campaign or the Vuitton campaign. I know that with Prada we are tempted to hide it with a smoke of fake intellectualism but i'm not buying it.

I used to be a real Prada stan, but this already looks so repetitive and sterile to the point that it’s actually off putting. I hope there’s better images down the line.

Only model fans would be into this because of their favorites, because it's garbage.

Pasha Harulia, Gisele Fox, Fran Summer, Xie Chaoyu would be in the campaign.

Predictable cast, but I like it.

I'm also looking forward to see the other pics, but there's literally nothing new, nor exciting here.

Hmm.. Where have I seen this before?

I'm baffled with what's happening to Prada at the moment. Prada has become far too complicated and erratic. The collections are bloated, and heavy handed. It's not easy to wear. The bags haven't improved much either. The offerings from Fall was proof of that. Those Velvet bags are ridiculously overpriced for what the are. The rest are decorated with excessive hardware and details. It's a very turbulent time for the brand and they can't afford to lose any more sales. I can't seem to understand why they haven't realized that their current formula isn't working. Every campaign and collection should be perfection, they need to work harder all around. The Resort show was a move in the right direction. Unfortunatley she dropped the ball with the comic book collection. Kitsch isn't going to do it anymore. They need to simplify and go back to basics. Prada was everything in the 2000's. The collections were perfection. The bags and shoes were experimental, but were still wearable and chic. Obviously she can't repeat the past, but that doesn't mean she can't update it.The Prada of the late 90s and early 00's needs to be reintroduced to the new generation of women. It would stand out in a very positive way. As of right now they've stalled. It's now or never Miuccia, step your game up.

Oh good God, the nightmare continues! Can't this woman see that Willy Vanderperre's photography is duller than a glass of milk, and in the process highlight the inadequacy of her actual collections more than anything??? And now he's repeating angles and shots. I didn't like this collection but something saccharine and hyperfeminine, or set on a pastel-coloured set would've sufficed. But that would be too much of a stretch for fashion 's favourite emo photographer.

Don't have high hopes for Calvin Klein 205#©%865NYC at this stage!

Kris Grikaite for Prada? Groundbreaking. Recent Prada ads are boring me to death.

^I agree. I´m a fan of loyalty but there is a difference between Sasha Pivovarova by Steven Meisel and this. Meisel´s cmapaigns for Prada all where the same but different at the same time. There always was a certain idea behind it for every collection. This is just copy and paste and Meisel is more versataile than Vanderperre as a photographer in General.

I don´t dislike Vanderperres work in General. I think he can take beutiful Pictures. But he is definitely the wrong man for Prada.

The same thing over and over again: Kris, Willy, one token black new face, some black and white portraits, some shots sitting. I can't believe how boring and predictable Prada has become in its campaigns.

A little bit off-topic, but since the campaigns are so underwhelming I suggest that you watch the series of the postman gifts by Prada if you haven't done it yet. The cast is nice and the videos are very fun to watch in my opinion. At least it's something different.
