Prada S/S 2018 by Willy Vanderperre

Not what I expected from a cartoon collection. They could have done something much more exciting, colorful, creative and eye catching.
This doesn't do the collection justice, imo. It's too dark and "gotic ish". It's so vacant. There's no connection between the shots.

Once again, love the cast tho. The only good thing, imo.

Did Miuccia take those with her iPhone?! I'm a Prada stan, but what the hell.

I love the outdoor shots. The studio images are unnecessary and boring.

Who cares about Prada these days? It's crazy than in less than 5 years this brand has become such a joke. I can't take it seriously anymore.

For me it's like Lanvin but in a different level. It was so hot and sought after but now what they do is simply irrelevant. The worst of it is that when it comes to Prada they try to disguise it with a fake conceptualism... It doesn't feel natural anymore. And they are kind of copying everybody. The new Etiquette J'adior shoes... OMG.

The outdoor shots are pretty nice. The others look like a student project.

Remember when everything Prada did was iconic? It seems so irrelevant now. Or is that just me?

Nope you’re not wrong there, Prada has officially become irrelevant. Nobody cares anymore, the campaigns have become derivative sterile and repetitive. Why Miucca is suffocating her brand is beyond me. I’ll pass.

It used to be my favorite brand but I've slowly grown tired of it, I actually don't think that the campaigns are to be blamed. I actually preffer them over the last few that Meisel shot (bite me).

This is actually quite nice but this spring collection, just like all of her recent offerings, was a total non-event. Terribly uninspired and gimmicky.

Not gonna quote two things in the same post, but Maria Grazia didn't invent kitten heel slingbacks nor tacky branding...And Klein certainly didn't invent dark alleys

are there other segments to this campaign? I was really hoping to see Pasha Harulia in this

Kris and Prada, name a more iconic duo than that. :P

Sasha & Prada ? Daria Werbowy & Prada ?

From the casting to the art direction and the photography this is so dull it hurts. Even Christina Aguilera's career feels more alive than this.

I still care about Prada and i must say that this collection must be her most desirable in a longtime. I don't think i've been impressed by the clothes since FW2015 maybe. Either the collection was good on the screen and didn't translate well in the shops or either too conceptual for my taste or nearly impossible to find in the shops.

I've seen the preview at the store and it looks good. Really! This is maybe her most urban collection in a longtime.

I'm sorry but you can't compare Prada to Lanvin. There are at least two oceans between those two brands. Lanvin is lost but Prada only have an identity crisis. People are still waiting for that Prada moment but nobody is waiting for Lanvin anymore.

And copying everybody? please! If one thing has been consistent at Prada, it is the kitten heel: Resort 2015, SS2016. She has been doing those pointy kitten heeled shoes since maybe 2002. What is the quentessential Prada silhouette? A car coat worn over a shirt with a pencil or plissé skirt or a cropped pant.

Don't give too much credit to that Dior woman. The only person that is maybe interested in copying is mybe Zuhair Murad.

Where are the brands which are more relevant than Prada?

Does the shot of Kris remind anyone else of the Fall 2013 campaign? I'll wait until I see it more clearly but I'm getting déjà vu, mixed in with one of Vanderperre's usual sterile portrait shots.

exactly my thoughts...

The three two-page spreads are nice, but if it weren't for the Prada logo, I wouldn't know at which brand I'm looking at.

I really like the latest shots posted, especially the one from Anok.
