Prada S/S 2025 : Carey Mulligan, Harris Dickinson, Liu Wen, & Nikita Gnetnev by Steven Meisel

disappointing. at least it wasn't done by Willy Vanderpeer who would just make it dull and kitsch.

the wigs and the makeup are so pathetic and unnecessary. It makes everything looks like a costume.

I love Carey and even though I don’t especially love the results, it’s a welcome change. I’ll take kitsch over pretense any day. Sell the damn fugly collection and stop trying to pretend it’s meaningful. This is a step in the right direction.

If the goal was to evoke the transformative power of fashion, it’s a fail.
I don’t know why but actresses needs more to be convincing. More than a few wigs, it needed a set, a narrative, an actual sense of emotion coming through.
This campaign is the job of a model.
Meisel has done this many times. I think about Raquel in VI for example.

It all feels flat.

also a conspiracy theory: Meisel did the resort 2020 campaign which was the last Miuccia solo collection. I’ve heard that Miuccia is leaving this year, so Meisel is shooting the last campaigns as some kind of last wish?

Look for the ugliest and the most snobbish actress

what is with this shift to using celebrities in their ads…. I miss models only campaigns. I never thought Prada would use celebs in their ads…. Shame.

I really like it even though it’s more Marc Jacobs than Prada, especially with the gallery-style layout. With that being said, it has a more human touch, whereas Willy’s campaigns felt cold and synthetic. I loved the collection, so maybe I’m biased! :P

it doesnt matter Meisel, Vanderperre or Sims as long as Ferdinando Verderi still remains as creative director, the outcome still gonna look dumb as hell
Seems like they will never get rid of him!

If I were the stylist, I would like dress her as Miuccia lol

Prada is doing relatively well compared to other brands, so it probably wouldn't be a great decision if they changed their formula during an upswing.
