Predict Style.com's Top 10 New Faces for S/S 2012

What about Gertrud? It's her first (real) runway season after all. She hasn't been at all the hype shows, but she's doing consistently well and her management is very selective. Quality shows all around.

I know I'm a little biased but she's def doing better in Milano than some of the girls mentioned here.

I'm really not sure at all why I forgot about including Gertrud (in both my lists!). She's one of the few who already 'look' established on the runway, not at all like a new girl. I'll also be adding Kati Nescher, when I revise my list.

Makers of top ten lists must be going mad...there really isn't anyone too consistent this season outside of Julia Frauche and Jasmine Tookes (Sort of). Not only have Nadine, Marihenny, Gertrud, and Valerija (This one was expected) basically disappeared in Paris so far, everyone else who is still a contender is basically only doing one or two key shows/exclusives (Romee, Maria, Lara, Marta Mei, Laura Kampman, Kelly, etc.)…which begs the question – who really deserves a spot in the end? Overall it’s a season about quality not quantity it seems! .

At least Josefien Rodermans and Erjona are making comebacks. Vive le Paris!

I cannot believe no one mentioned Marleen Gaasbeek! She's being a sleeper hit - she bookmed a lot of great shows, but infotunately, there's not much hype around her.

Vasilisa Pavlova and Magdalena Langrova are doing great too and not too many are noticing.

Not that I care too much for those top newcomer lists, but Style_Savy seems to be pretty accurate.
Nadine's only high profile bookings in Paris were YSL and Chanel - Pretty weak week compared to Kati or Erjona.

Girls like Erjona Ala or Antonia Wesseloh are from last season, if they can't make it last season, it's because had others better girls on Fall 2011.

Ros did shows in Paris last season, including Céline, Dries van Noten and Sonia Rykiel and has done far more shows than Erjona and Antonia who are newcomers this season (Although Erjona did Balenciaga last season and couture shows this summer.)

The challenge this year is insane. I think it's a sign of the times and not neccesarily a good one that the market is overloaded with new faces of which only a couple will actually make a mark and survive. I took the liberty of making a list of actual contenders, IMO, feel free to adjust. I seriously doubt tomorrow will fundamentally alter this list but Im pretty sure I forgot some....
