Preen S/S 08 NYC

i like the co9lleciton feels very miami vice. Go Bismarck!!

I love the "transparent" feel some of the looks have, whether they're sheer or not. There's a lightness to it, like a gouache illustration (not the black stuff so much.)

not so sure about the clothes
but the hair I looooooove it
I love how the girls coloured their hair in a lighter shade, close to blonde, and they are all super tan! can you imagine when we get to Milan! it's gonna be super sexy

the clothes are washed out looking , but the hair YOWSAH , its like blondie in the summer of 77 lol....,

I wonder what the fabrics are... I don't like most of the designs, I'm sorry to say.

Blondie the singer btw...for those who dont know.. i love the hair

love it

this is the first time I'm actually paying attention to Preen :)

ps. didn't it show in London usually??

I don't like it. The reason is I don't like the fit, the way the dresses are put together, or the use of sheer. I really want to know what was going on in the designers head when they made up this line. Since I can't say these pieces are very 'wearable', I think it was trying to be trendsetting. Instead, it seems more, well... lost.

gosh, finally my girls began to do shows:woot:i like the collection

i think that these tiny picture posts are really not a good idea...
they are way too small to really see the clothes and it takes way too long to click on each one to get through the whole collection...

we are going to have to revise this...
and make the pics bigger with a limit of four per post...
which is how it had been done in previous seasons...

thanks... really good idea! because actually i'm not clicking on images to see the show when they are little... it bothers me to open 20 windows (eventhough it's with mozilla)...
so i don't check some collection...:innocent:

it's a little bit too plain, hard to choose the favorite piece.

This is all so fresh and summery  almost Chloe-esque. I've always been a fan of Preen but they've taken the brand to a nevel level

Yep :)

....Personally, I don't think I'm liking the new direction they're taking...what a shame, another forgettable collection from them.

It's funny how there's been a shift in collections...when I was growing up I was always amazed by the contrast between high street fashion and high fashion. Runway shows would often have completely unwearable (yet often beautiful) clothes, it was a world apart from any other 'look' you could buy...now the runways are dominated by very very wearable collections - in many ways a good thing but come on...it's a little boring...there's nothing wrong with these clothes at all but who do I pick to like and not like when many designers are doing the same thing? Also the styling has really really been toned down in the past few years. Maybe I'm missing something...but it almost makes me look forward to watching Gareth Pugh shows...and even that's shifting towards being more wearable. I don't know. Is it a good thing or am I just remembering the past more fondly than I should?

Stam looks gorgeous as ever though.

this is so commercial. This is so New York .I'm disappointed

This looks like Stella McCartney which is really a bad thing.

Preen used to be great.

should I post the complete collection from style.com???
