i had a pair similar to this in the 80's
they were dark grey texturized rubber lined in leather...
these remind me of them...
of course- i really wish i had the originals...

though the quality is dubious, the style is good, imo...
not sure how much use they are in the colder months though...


i really like the round grommets as opposed to the usual raised studs though...

the jil sander navy boots are very good themselves. but the image I'd have with yohji is some wedge version of them.
just tried checking what's available over here from marsell and got to know it's rather difficult to find. it seems that stores tend to buy guidi for that kind of market now.

anyway what I thought of first for this thread was rei's blue witches ones, but maybe they are more tribal and esoteric than punk and mod.

woah "agressive sneakers" indeed The first Junyas are very cool.
I've always loved punky boots...mainly because I like feminine skirts.

I like Ash and they seem to be comfy too; here are a few I like out of their numerous punky options:

i kind of love the toga sneakers...
much to my surprise...
they are kind of amazing!...

i've seen the junya patent, studded oxfords in person...
they look quite good on, even though i don't usually like such an aggressive pointed stud...
i guess they are just balanced quite well...
not too many studs and not too pointy toed so they don't seem quite as aggressive...

much as i like the loafers, esp the kenzo ones...
i had a pair like that in the 80's and absolutely never wore them cause i just don't like them on my feet or something...
i learned my lesson from that and haven't bought a pair of loafers since then...
*well- except for a pair of gucci horsebit suede loafers, also only worn about 2 times...
