Well I would say that the leather is for the discerning mother with too much money on their hands that wants a completely pointless baby toy that the kid won't even care about the brand monogrammed on there, but the mom wants something that is easy to clean.

Believe me they won't-my family shows cats and you'll see the craziest cat beds but do you think the cat cares? No! We just go with fleece.

Think to yourself for a moment ...would you yourself ever want to sleep on goat hair? Its so itchy and uncomfortable. That and it has such a bizarre odor... at least thats always been my experience.

My cats would not care at all. It's a cat bed that's worth 3 pet-quality British Shorthairs!
