As always, some very nice "classic" Rachel Roy pieces. She definitely has a recognizable style that is evolving.

This may sound crazy, but the more I look at this collection, the more I feel that Rachel would be a very worthy replacement for Frida over at Gucci. This collection nailed the cool urban glamour and sex appeal (via those wicked shoes) of the brand while keeping it separate from Tom's more rigorously worked aesthetic. More relaxed but still very louche and easily to style.

I'm not a fan of the shoes at all, but I like the collection. Her collections are always consisten and while I agree, not earth shattering, I think she produces pretty if not occasionally beautiful clothes that are meant to be worn and lived in, and make the wearer feel good and reflect their beauty. Not take over. And I appreciate that.
