Rag & Bone S/S 09 New York City

I think alot of it looks sloppy. There are a couple of good looks though, very wearable.

nice, but I really like the men's collection better than the women's.

ugh. if only all men dressed like this.

yes i like most of them! some too grunge and i can see the outdated view of it.
but i love the length of the pants!

Okay, the eerie thing is I proclaimed that Control had really inspiring style choices awhile back (in fact, I even mentioned it in the Inspiration thread on TFS). But I'm sorry. I love Rag & Bone but they do no justice to the bleak intrigue of Ian & company. I didn't get a rock & roll vibe at all from this. It's actually a bit rustic.

It is exactly what I expect from Rag and Bone and I think it was a good collection. I don't see Control in it at all but what I see instead is a very distinct London mid 60s sort of look but taking the look for the men of that period, moving it into the future and letting women in on the game. The suits Coco and some of the other girls were wearing look like their were literally pulled off the back of the early 60s era Beatles. So swingin' London and I love that look.

This is def my favourite collection so far.
Just love everything, very typical Rag & Bone but amazing

there is one look that i like and that's picture 8 on post 19... the rest is just some sort of a balenciaga+balmain_wannabe kind of thing that is well... one season late!
besides, the proportion on those punkish skinny pants is quite off. both the rise and length make the girl's legs look awfully short.
words have not been invented to describe the flowered knee length tights!

I agree with the wannabe Balmain comments. These dresses are exactly that but lacking the extremeness and therefore edge of the former. And while this is nice and everything, suspenders + skinny jeans are embarrassingly played out to be putting them on the runway at this point.

^I agree. I love a lot of their stuff and their aesthetic but it just looks so....uncomfortable. I honestly cannot imagine someone above a size 4 or maybe a size 6 pulling off their clothing well. I'm not even sure they make clothing above a size 6 since whenever I'm looking on La Garconne at their stuff I've never find anything above that size....

I would actually say I don't find the jeans/suspenders look to be mod as much as sort of English skinhead, Fred Perry, kind of inspiration.
