Shrug It Off
Odd combo of mohair and citrus at Raika D. show

NEW YORK: Sunday, February 08, 2004

THE LOOK: Raika D. and co-designer Carmine Di Sarno’s collection was rife with mohair and acid-colored satin.  A mix of glitz and downtown glam, standout pieces included a chunky mohair shrug adorned with crystals, simple cutout sweaters with oversized fabric hearts, and a midnight blue rhinestone and gem cardigan.

HEAVILY OVERUSED BUZZWORDS: Lime, shrugs, fishtails

SEEN:
Rick and Kathy Hilton, who carried a Dolce & Gabbana tan bag with fringe
Nicky Hilton, who walked the runway, and BF Ian

At the Capitale after party:
V.v. beautiful crowd…lots of model-y guys and fashionable girls.
Nicky Hilton and entourage relaxed around a reserved table.
Jaime Gleicher and family entertained and chatted with the many fans of her show.

I looked at photos on the Olympus Fashion Week site and thought it looked terrible. Gaudy and amateurish, IMHO.

Miss Spears would love it, though.

I like some of it but whether or not I'd wear it is a different story...
