Not at all!! I wouldn't have seen them either except that I subscribe to 900 magazines...!!
I wonder when the new Val pics that she mentioned will be out- although they could be for other things too- like the web site of in store or whatever...
^^ I don't know- but can you get that sort of quality out of runway shots...?? God- they spend hours with make up and lighting and huge cameras and take 500 of the same shot...These are really runway shots from the show itself???

This is interesting from New York Magazine-
Olga Sherer While her flame-colored hair caught attention all week long, Sherer’s boldest move was closing Ralph Lauren. As Lauren usually saves that spot for campaign girls, we have to wonder if an advertising contract is on the way. If not, she’ll surely be seeing some action from one of the other 25 designers she walked for.

And to tell you the truth I dont think Olga is Ralph material. She did well on the runway (except for in that orange jumpsuit
) but I dont think I can see her in the ads.These 4 pages appeared in the March 2008 issues of German Vogue and Elle. The first three are foldout pages with the cover.
Who are the models? I just recognize Valentina in the second pic. I'm a better scanner than model expert

I was a bit disappointed with this campaign! It seemed very cheap, to be honest! @_@; I preferred last season's campaign much more.

I need to go work in the Hamptons Store...They do a lot of photography work out there, since Ralph and Bruce Weber both have homes there so it's the place to be!! B)
Olga wouldn't be my big choice either... I'm still pulling for Hilary Rhoda, but that's a hopeless cause now I guess...
There's a beautiful new girl on the web site who is stunning, long dark hair- I have no idea who she is, but very beautiful!!
It is certainly different- but kind of in keeping with the Spring Collection- which was very different and garden party and all...So I can understand where they were going with it... Seems like everyone was happy to see the old Ralph English Gentry Country tweeds and plaids back last week, however...Even Val said that!

btw- Lonneke has been around forever!! I'm looking forward to seeing these ads- Ralph and Bruce and who knows which beautiful models...Should be interesting...!

Just in case, you know, Ralph Lauren Black Label, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lauren, and Rugby haven't satiated your desires for rugby stripes, popped collars, Oxford button downs, and of course, piles and piles of khakis. This time, though, the fashion giant is expanding downmarket. "American Living," a line of clothing and homewares, will hit J.C. Penney shortly, its wares plastered with eagles and American flags instead of the brand's signature polo pony. Naturally, some critics have suggested that by keeping its upscale name off of the more accessible product, the company is hoping to have its cake and eat it too.
Of course, the ads for American Living, shot by Bruce Weber, are suitably aspirational and the merch's lower prices could appeal to those hit by the nationwide credit crunch. Will it work? We seem to recall that the last time the U.S. was in a major recession, back in the grunge-happy early '90s, everyone put away the Alex Keaton look and dressed like they were homeless, on purpose.
