WOW .. I am probably the only one who is not impressed at all!
It is boring & not Ralph Lauren at all
This shoot could have been something for anything (campaign for local brand or editorial for any magazine)
+ Would have liked to see American beauty Carolyn Murphy for this iconic American brand
You are not the only one at all. This is what happens when the photographer ignores the brand and sticks with his favourite models. Stella Tennant is anything but Ralph Lauren but at least she is the only model that can be called an icon.
Funny thing is, though, Ralph has rarely ever used American models, especially for his campaigns. Most of the iconic and long-lasting faces of this brand tend to be Russian or Brazilian.+ Would have liked to see American beauty Carolyn Murphy for this iconic American brand
i think the clothes are the Icons. Thats the name of the collection. all his iconic pieces, not the models. also this is 100000% better than the last few Icon campaigns with Ronja. not even a comparison.
Bruce did it better. Those Polo images from the 80s/90s remain as lush today as back then.
Take away the B&W and the Meisel cache here, and this is just a nice, polite department store campaign.
I don't know how some of these girls are icons, but they're all gorgeous.
That's not the point...
I don't get why people complain about the cast. It's a diverse group of women of all ages and backgrounds. What's not to like?
