check out this girl on the left.........talk about strike a pose

the last group i posted reminds me very much of cristobal balenciaga's work

:woot: thanks sean

loved the look on Erin (first plate) and the last plate with the gowns,
he's certainly Balenciaga influenced, i think he would be great for Givenchy :ninja:

the circle looks, my.. imagine making those patterns..
there is so much cut detail on his work, i'd love to see it up close

Anastassia sure knows how to work the runway

i was really concerned seeing how high those skirts were in the first few looks but he redeemed himself with some of those perfect suits and that eveningwear that just exploded with luxurious detail

Looks boring and the first dress makes the model look fat!

could be good for a bigger customer...

but not for me... :innocent:

My two favorite looks from his collection. It's been a few HCs and RTWs since RR had gotten too intellectual and I think that is what's going on now with some of these pieces. Personally, I enjoy them because to hear RR talk, he needs to do it and his clientele will follow him to the ends of the earth to get it.

For example this jacket takes a somewhat nonelegant but venerated form and turns it into pure luxury but demands to be questioned.

On the other hand this liquidy T-1000 dress sidesteps analysis and just brings out emotion.

I really like Oprah's pants...are those Ralph's?
i'd peg them as cavalli or dolce...

but i don't know for sure...

 ...huh...

i don't see it...all i see is some pink satin wrapped around a girl's body...not draped in any particular way or finished in any particular way or cut in any particular way...

just looks like a very long...and fancy... towel wrapped around her...

the only thing it evokes in me is boredom...

am i missing something here???...

i'm sure you understand that the glory of mr. rucci's clothes is that this "satin towel" of which you speak will not be rendered unwearable by trend in the next six months to a year like some of the more innovative pieces of the rtw. you buy chado and you can wear it until you fall dead (and then be buried in it)
