Ranch dressing

DSquared and Ralph Lauren went for the lumberjack look with check shirts and denim galore, while Chloe bravely proffered Clint Eastwood-style ponchos. On the high street you'll find western shirts aplenty from H&M to Miss Selfridge, while River Island has the accompanying cutoff denim jackets, plaid mini skirts and artfully shredded jeans. Footwear is key here. For country hick cowboy boots go to Office and River Island or try Shellys and Kickers for shaggy sheepskin boots. Caterpillar deserves a mention for its rugged Mardy boots or hunt out the sheepskin-lined boots at Moschino and Balenciaga for an indulgently luxe version of the Ugg. Glamour pusses go for stiletto yeti boots at Jimmy Choo with drainpipe Wrangler jeans

Haha I love you!

Keep this up and we might as well have a separate forum for cowboy fashion.

Cowboy fashion... so hot.

I LOVE PLAID! And I'm not afraid to admit it. I even really love flannel plaid shirts. :o

ok...once more...a mod is needed...please..can this be moved to trend-spotting where it belongs...even though i'd like to see it elsewhere... :ninja: :innocent:

Uhh, isn't there always some designer each season who thinks they're terribly clever and going to update the whole ranch/western look? This is old news hotel. And much like every other similar collection, I am not impressed.

The lumberjack pieces are kind of nice though.

And your favorite designers are ?

this is ridiculous

pelas at least post in the right topic

I kind of love the trend, but it's easy to overdo it, and then it's just wrong. I already got myself a plaited blouse and a leather jacket! Nice look with just plain jeans and boots

So cool, I fell in love with "brokeback mountain" 's fashion, wish it would come true, and now here it is =))))

Oh BTW, the necklace in the first pic is stunning, anyone know where to buy?

I love the d-squared hats with the fur on that say "f***in freezing"

Just pointing out that this is an old thread. 2004. You can still get turquoise necklaces like that one at stores that specialize in southwest jewelry or you can go get the beads at a bead shop and make your own (cheaper).

This is definately not a new trend for this fall.

I seriously thought the 'Ranch Dressing trend' was actually about the popular salad dressing....I thought to myself, 'Oh I totally love ranch dressing so I'm way ahead of this!'

Anyway, even though this trend is two years old I still adore the woodsy look.
