This it the most B.S. service I have ever received from a store. check this out..
I went ahead and decided to go the cheap route last month, and bought the S.M. Miss Marple knockoff.
I thought, OK, I love the style right now, but it's trendy and I might not like them in a few months, so let me NOT spend $710 or whatever it was for the Louboutin's -I'll just get these cheaper ones because they've done a really good job on knocking them off.
I would have bought them from Zappos, but they didn't carry the style at the time. So I went to Stevemadden.com. It was my first time buying Steve Madden shoes, and I was not aware that they ran 1/2 size large. It would be really nice if they would make note of that fact on their website!
So I ordered my normal size and when I got them they were too big - I was walking out of them so there was no way I was going to be able to make them work.
I inqired about exchanging for a smaller size. they told me that I would have to do a new purchase for the new size (paying shipping again) and send back the ones that did not fit (they never disclosed the fact that I would be charged for return shipping!) which means that I would have had to pay 3 shipping charges to get the right shoes.
I had to print out their label, drop the box at the P.O. and wait.
ONE MONTH LATER - I still had not recieved credit to my credit card, even though they had notified me that they had processed the return.
I had to email them more than once to remind them to credit my CC, and FINALLY today ( 3 days after they promised that it would be done "immediately") I got another email saying that they have credited my card. But get this - they deducted $6 for return shipping!
I paid $108.90 total for the shoes, I'm getting 93.00 back as a credit. Basically, I have paid $15 for the joy and priveledge of going through the hassles of getting shoes that don't fit, shipping them back, and having to wait a month for the credit.
Nice.
