I have to go find out what her TFS username is so I can credit her, but I had one of my good friends convey the important parts of the interview to me:
Her father is a beekeeper, she has an older brother who is an environmental consultant and a younger sister who is still in - what I am assuming, from the context - college. It doesn't mention her mother's profession, so I assume she is a stay at home. Oh and she is from the same place in Brasil as Gisele, Porto Alegre.
She says she has always had campaigns, but she thinks she is more noticeable now because her current campaigns are very high profile so it makes her seem omnipresent. She explains how her career has built up slowly. She went to an agency in Sao Paulo at fourteen, went to New York at fifteen, and was in Paris not too long after. She notes that it took awhile for things to get going.
She is apparently very polite, warm, friendly, hard-working, et cetera. Someone from her agency says she is always trying to better herself and that she works as hard as she can all the time whereas many of the other Brasilian girls slack off. Then she cuts in and asks that nothing negative be said about the other Brasilians. Because!
She's very, very, very Brasilian. Her family has been in Brasil for four generations and she says the only German thing about her is her name. She seems to be very close with her family and they note in the article how proud she sounds when she talks about her siblings and her father. She rides horses often and goes back to Porto Alegre to do so as often as possible.
Akfhajfa. I am just going to paste the rest of what my friend told me:
"When she's done working she says she wants to go back and spend her days in Brasil but then she changes her mind and says first she wants to see all of the world and travel a ton and she mentions how, for example, when she was in Egypt she only saw the tip of the pyramids from the car and didn't really get to explore. She doesn't want to spend half her trip in the plane.
And then she talk about what it is to be Brasilian which apparently is like a happy joy attitude and a constant optimism. And solidarity between other Brasilians that isn't about nationalism but about wanting to be together. And about enjoying the same music, sharing a plate of feijodas, sharing memories. And then something something it's a manner of saying that Brasilians are a gang, a tribe, or a pack like we say with football supporters.
Oh and then she says it's true that her friends who she's been with from the start are Isabeli and Jeisa.
She's known for being super friendly. She is always trying to advise and caution the new girls about things not to do and she tries to make them feel welcome and loved.
In that black box she talks about liking to do shows because she can see how the trends reveal themselves from one show to the next and it's a really interesting industry. Also where everybody else goes from grunge-chic she is apparently always dressed impeccably in her pants, sweaters, neat hair, etc. Kind of an older style."
