she doesn't look the least bit interesting to me.

she is very versatile if you look at all her work. that is definately part of her appeal. and i imagine part of the reason she has been around so long is that she is said to be so nice

No model sticks around for about 7 years without having something special and I agree about her being nice as no photographers, models or designers seem to have a bad word to say about her.
Personally I never get sick of seeing Raquel, so I hope she's got many years left yet.

Was it when she opened Prada Fall 2004 that her career went into high gear?

Yeah she had been working steadily for a few years, she'd had Vogue Italia covers with Meisel etc., but I think opening for Prada really stepped it up a gear for her as I think it was a bit of a surprise to everyone.
Meisel started using her more and she did Vogue USA fairly regularly.
It is pretty unique to see a model work this long at the high fashion end and not going down the commercial route and still keeping her integrity.
Fair play to her.

Raquel's career really should be used as an example to for other models. She's managed to stay on top and produce high quality work for years while being a favorite of designers and editors. Its amazing really. She's so versatile.

She looks good in the new Fendi ads though I wish the overall theme of the campaign was different. Something outdoors like what they did with Lindvall a few seasons ago.
