Interview with Iman

Iman judged a dance-off at Lanvin’s “Dance the Night Away”-themed FNO party, but absent was her husband David Bowie, who famously judged a fashion show dance-off in the 2001 film “Zoolander.” Don’t fret — Iman says the “Fashion” singer is alive and well in their SoHo-area home. “My husband is still around,” says the ageless beauty, 56. “He lives his life. He’s not a follower of fashion. He has an 11-year-old kid he takes to school.”
She adds that no designer could talk her out of the retirement she declared in 1989. “No one,” she insists. “No, no, no, because I love the new models Raquel Zimmermann, Karlie Kloss, Coco Rocha . . . they are the new supermodels.”
